As a up and coming Makeup Artist, I like most people don't have tons of money to spend on those amazing makeup palettes...(YET). Don't you hate it when you watch Youtube or read reviews on a product and fall in love with it; just to find out that it cost as much as a tank of gas. If you're like me, after bills, groceries, kids sports, etc those $50 and up eyeshadows are not a option. So I'm here to let you know about great products that don't break the bank. Products that make you look like a million bucks without costing that much. When possible I still buy my high end options and will give you reviews on those as well. I will also give reviews on household products, clothes, working out, hair products, etc as well. So I hope you will enjoy reading my reviews.

You're Never Too Old

This past week, I learned to do something that I never thought I would be able to....SWIM. I know some of you may be cracking up right now because you're thinking omgosh, who doesn't know how to swim. Well, I'm one of many many who as a adult still didn't know how to swim. As a kid I just never learned. My parents don't know how to swim, we never had a pool other than the little wading pools I had as a toddler. I never went to the local pool and when I did I stayed in the 3 ft side and just splashed around and pretended to swim. I eventually stopped going because I hated watching all my friends and there I was sitting on the side lines so to speak. I tried once before to learn when I signed our son up for lessons but I spent more time cheering him on and watching him than trying to learn myself. Week before last I saw a notice for adult swim lessons and the college and I told my mom and husband that I was going to sign up. One of the main things doctors tell me to do for my medical conditions is to swim but it's hard to do it when you don't know how. So on the first day, the other two ladies and myself were scared to death. To my surprise I'm actually good at it and I love it. The worst part of it was having to jump in the 6 ft end (terrified doesn't describe the feeling) and my hair getting wet :) As adults there are so many things we find ourselves wanting to do because for whatever reason we were never able to do them as kids or teenagers. Just because we are all grown up, doesn't mean it's to late to learn new things or to make up for lost time. Learning to swim has showed me that you can do anything you set you mind to. If you are a parent it also shows your kids to never give up on their dreams no matter how big or small. I hope you have a blessed day and stay wrapped in pink and glitter!!!!

Hello everyone!!!!  I wanted to let you all know about a AMAZING company called Shany Cosmetics. They offer great makeup, nail accessories, and hair accessories at a wonderful price. They are a new company having only been out for 7 years. They wanted to offer high quality makeup at a affordable price and they are doing just that. I don't know about the rest of you but I love my makeup. I have bought numerous items from drug stores and places of the like but they are not always the best. I have went to beauty stores and makeup counters at places like Macy's and the like for products like MAC and Sephora. Don't get me wrong they are awesome brands but unless they are having a good sale the prices will make your eyes cross because they are so high. A lady at the mineral makeup counter in the middle of the mall told me about Shany. I came home and got on the computer and pulled up Shany's website...OMGOSH I was in heaven!!!! I placed my order and received it super fast. I think I even got it a day or so sooner than what I was suppose to. You also receive free samples with every order. So I have been sick and unable to try it out till now. I absolutely LOVE their makeup!!!!! If you buy their products you will not be disappointed. You will get the best of both worlds, a great product at a great price. I tried the Loose Mineral Glitter and Pearl Eyeshadows (set of 40 different colors) number 19. They come in these little pots and a little goes a long way with these colors. The super pigment colors last all day long and are beyond beautiful. It doesn't matter if you are a MUA or just someone who loves makeup like me you will love this company. I will be buying from Shany again!!!!

Start Being Thankful

So many times we forget to be thankful for things we have because we're to busy complaining about what we don't have. How many of us complain about our spouse working long hours or on weekends but forget to be thankful that they have a job in a time where so many are losing theirs?? We complain about not having enough space in our homes for items we probably don't even need yet forget to be thankful for having a home in the first place. I'm the kind of person who is extremely thankful for everything we have and own because I know that in the blink of an eye everything can be taken away. Everyday I thank God for everything he has blessed me and my family with. Even on days when everything seems to go wrong I still stop and thank him for the strength he gave me to get through that day. Remember that no matter what kind of day we are having we can always find something to be thankful for!!!!
